I saw one yesterday. Very handsome. I gave the guy a thumbs-up, and he just looked at me in my CTS V-Sport like I was a goddamn peasant.

Hahaha, I gave mine a thumbs up too but he didn’t see me
I’m assuming you like your CTS Vsport, what made you decide on that over the competition?

Honestly, everything the Germans are making right now is straight garbage until you get to the flagships unless you go M or AMG, which I didn’t want to do. I was getting into trouble with my M3, so I wanted something a little more tame. The Germans just felt heavy, and they don’t let you have any fun. Taurus SHO doesn’t come in rwd. Lincoln is Lincoln. The Dodges felt fast but sloppy. I almost fell asleep driving the GS and the Predator grille is dumb. Infinities are ugly. So I was down to the Chevy SS and the Caddy. I like the CTS, but I think I should have gone with the Chevy.
But I think Caddy has kind of stepped into the shoes of 1990s-2000s BMW. And that’s a very good thing.

I thought you were asking why Vsport over V, in which case I was going to answer “poverty”. The answer to why take it over a 550i is 500+ pounds and $5k saved.

Weird, I just saw a coupe in the wild too! It was black (and dark outside) and looked seriously sinister.

Would you prefer that the CTS Vsport have an LT1? (I think it should)

I like the turbo 6. It’s perfect for the fast without being ridiculous or excessive segment. And they’ve got the SS for people who want the V8. My issue is with all the technology. It’s just too much. I’m old for my age, so anything beyond AC and audio controls feels excessive, and I fucking hate touch screens.
